CASEIF II

Central American Mezzanine Infrastructure Fund (CAMIF) II LP is a USD 250m fund providing mezzanine loans as well as equity to small and medium infrastructure projects in Central America and the Caribbean. The fund is expected to invest in 10-15 projects with investment amounts ranging in USD 10-25m, and will target the power, transportation, water and sanitation, as well as healthcare and education sectors among others. The majority of investments are expected to be mezzanine loans with strong down-side protection.

About the fund

The fund is managed by LAP Latin American Partners, LLC headquartered in Washington DC with offices in Mexico City and Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The team has extensive experience in the infrastructure sector in Latin America, and has invested the CAMIF II predecessor fund, CAMIF I, as well as managed the divestment of the AIG-GE Capital Latin American Infrastructure Fund.

SIFEM has committed USD 10m to the fund in the form of both equity and a subordinated loan. SIFEM joins DFI investors Finnfund, FMO, IADB, IFC and Proparco among others.
