European Financing Partners

European Financing Partners S.A. (EFP) is a co-financing mechanism among the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Development Finance Institutions (EDFIs) to finance private sector investments in Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific (ACP). EFP is a risk-sharing facility providing up to 75% of the combined financing to projects in ACP proposed by any one of the EDFI Members which are shareholders of EFP.

About the fund

The EFP initiative was created in 2003 with the double aim of promoting sustainable development of the private sector in ACP States and strengthening co-operation between eligible EDFIs and the EIB. SIFEM was already a committing party of EFP II and EFP III and most recently EFP IV.
