LRIF targets investments of USD 5-25m in asset-based, capital-intensive segments of renewable energy generation, mainly focusing on solar, but also investing in wind, and hydro sub-sectors. Importantly, LRIF is expected to achieve a strong development impact by providing equity to smaller-scale renewable energy projects, addressing Latin America’s growing demand for energy in an environmentally sustainable way, increasing access to energy and fostering local industrial development.
The Fund is managed by REAL Infrastructure Capital Partners, a first-time fund manager led by Juan Paez and Stephen Pearlman, based in New York.
