The Metier Capital Growth Fund III (MCGF III) is a pan-African private equity fund with a target size of USD 200 million. The fund focuses on investing in local and regional mid-market companies in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), particularly in countries such as South Africa, Kenya, Mozambique, Uganda, Nigeria, and Ghana. The fund invests with a generalist approach, spanning various sectors such as healthcare, education, agriculture, and technology, aiming to address critical gaps in essential services, digital inclusion, and healthcare access. These investments align with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 5 (Gender Equality), 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) and contribute to outcomes such as job creation, skills development, gender balance, and environmental responsibility. The fund is managed by Metier and is strategically aligned with SIFEM's impact and investment objectives. SIFEM's commits USD 15 million, alongside contributions from other development finance institutions and private equity firms.
