Margarita is a global infrastructure and energy professional with 20 years’ experience, extensive know-how in renewable energy and impact investing, strong strategic and financial acumen. She brings along a proven track record in strategy development and implementation in line with ESG and SGD goals and hands-on experience in diverse infrastructure, investment management, capital structuring (equity and debt), strategic procurement, M&A transactions on portfolio and asset companies, direct and indirect investment structures. Margarita is currently leading the renewables business of BKW – the leading Swiss integrated utility – with responsibility for P&L, operations, investments and an international multi-disciplinary organization. Before joining BKW, she was in the executive team and headed the portfolio and asset management of the global infrastructure fund at IST Investment Foundation working with Swiss institutional investors on evergreen private equity investments in OECD countries. Prior to IST, Margarita was Head of Asset Management of the renewable energy business of Alpiq. She has served as board member in various asset and service companies across Europe and North America and currently holds a broad range of posts in governmental and non-governmental institutions. Margarita holds an MBA from Purdue University and has a dual degree in Business Administration and Political Science.
