The 2025 DFI Transparency Index report sees SIFEM nearly double its score compared to the previous edition.
SIFEM is pleased to share that it has improved its score in the 2025 DFI Transparency Index, published by Publish What You Fund. The Index is the only independent measure of transparency across development finance institutions (DFIs), assessing the disclosure of key information across five pillars: core information, financials, impact, ESG, and accountability.
This year’s assessment reflects steady progress in SIFEM’s efforts to strengthen transparency and public disclosure. The improved score positions SIFEM ahead of several peer institutions, including BIO (Belgium), OeEB (Austria), and IFU (Denmark).
While differences in institutional size and structure remain across the DFI landscape, SIFEM continues to align with evolving best practices in the sector. The findings of this year’s Index provide a constructive basis for identifying further improvements in how we report on our activities and results.
