Julien Kinic has more than 25 years of private equity experience in both emerging and developed markets. He was Managing Partner and a member of the Board of Directors of idiem Partners, a regulated (AIFM) emerging markets private equity platform, which he co-founded and co-led from 2008 until the end of 2024. Under his leadership, the firm raised four funds and closed more than 70 deals (primary, secondary and co-investments). Earlier in his career, he helped develop the private equity activities of the Agence Française de Développement Group (Proparco). As Investment Director at Cognetas (formerly Electra Partners Europe), he worked on mid-market LBO transactions across Europe. He started his career at Arthur Andersen in Paris, where he led audits and due diligence for international clients. He holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Accounting & Finance from the London School of Economics and a Master in Management (Grande École, major in Finance) from EDHEC Business School.
