Dr. Mirjam Staub-Bisang has more than 25 years of experience in asset management, private equity and sustainable investing across institutional markets. She is Chair and Senior Advisor of BlackRock Switzerland, having served as the firm’s Country Head for Switzerland from 2018 to 2024, and she is also a member of BlackRock’s EMEA Executive Committee and a Senior Advisor to BlackRock Sustainable Investing. Prior to BlackRock, she co-founded and was Managing Partner of Independent Capital Group AG, a Zurich-based investment management firm focused on sustainable investing. Earlier in her career, she held senior asset management and private equity roles at Commerzbank, Swiss Life and Quadrant, and worked in investment banking at Merrill Lynch. She currently serves as a non-executive director of the global footwear retailer Bata and the business school INSEAD, and sits on the boards of Swiss Sustainable Finance and the Asset Management Association Switzerland. She is the author of “Sustainable Investing for Institutional Investors: Risks, Regulations, Strategies” and co-author of the second edition of “Infrastructure as an Asset Class”. She holds a PhD in Law from the University of Zurich and an MBA from INSEAD.
