About

Dr. Stefan Beiner has more than two decades of experience in institutional asset management, investment strategy, and asset-liability management. He is particularly interested in long-term investing, sound governance, and the practical implementation of investment strategies. He is a Partner at c-alm AG an independent consulting firm for pension funds, insurance companies, family offices and foundations. Before joining c-alm in 2025, Stefan spent 16 years at PUBLICA, one of Switzerland’s largest pension funds, most recently as Head of Asset Management and Deputy Director. He is also a lecturer in finance at the University of St. Gallen and President of the Swiss Society for Financial Market Research, which promotes dialogue between academia and practice in financial markets and portfolio management. Earlier in his career, Stefan worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company. He holds a PhD in finance from the University of St. Gallen; his academic work also included research at the University of Oxford.
