We are pleased to announce the publication of SIFEM’s 2023 Business & Financial Report, now available on our website. This comprehensive report encapsulates a landmark year where, for the first time in our history, our active investment commitments exceeded USD 1 billion.
2023 was a record-setting year for SIFEM as we committed USD 143.8 million across 10 new investments. This not only represents our largest annual investment volume but also underscores our role in bridging the financing gap in developing and emerging countries amid challenging global conditions.
Our investments last year were strategically aligned with the priorities of Switzerland’s international cooperation strategy:
2023 also marked a pivotal year in terms of organizational growth and governance:
Jörg Frieden, Chairman of the Board, emphasized our ongoing commitment to the Swiss Confederation’s development strategy and our readiness to expand our impact, particularly in regions requiring concerted reconstruction efforts like Ukraine.
We invite all stakeholders and interested parties to explore the full details of our operational success and strategic initiatives in the 2023 Business & Financial Report. This document is not just a reflection of what we have achieved but also a blueprint for our future endeavors.
